Cultivating Intellectual Life: Reflections from the ABS Evolution and Consciousness Seminars
Sunday August 9, 2026 9:00am - 10:15am EDT
This panel discussion reflects on lessons learned from three years of developing and facilitating seminars that examine materialistic assumptions in the biological sciences. Drawing on experience with both youth and adults, the session will explore how themes of evolution, consciousness, and the harmony of science and religion have been engaged in seminar settings, both locally and at the annual conference. Panelists will reflect on consultative approaches to writing and facilitation, challenges encountered, and insights gained. The discussion aims to distill contributions to the intellectual life of the Bahá’í community and foster collaboration with concurrent or emerging seminars
